The Ghana Center lor Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) organized a two day workshop on "Enhancing Police Community Relations and Policing in Ghana" at the Volta Hotel, Akosombo, 21d-23d August, 2003. Against a backdrop of ongoing reforms aimed at improving the Ghana Police Service particularly in the area of police-community relations, the workshop sought to examine the attitude ol the Ghanaian public towards the Ghana Police Service. A nationwide survey on public perceptions and experiences of the Ghana Police Service by the Center provided the relerence points.
